rachel scores a 7.5 - nice work, lady!
i am also giving rachel a 5 point bonus for the following reason: rachel teaches with me - she teaches AP calculus and i teach AP government and politics. in addition to being yoga buddies, el azteca margarita buddies, and vegetarian buddies (well, rachel's vegan, but you know what i mean), we talk about AP things throughout the year. and we had been complaining to each other over email in recent weeks about how the college board was being very slow in delivering our AP scores to us. the students can call in and get their scores in early july, but it takes several more weeks for the teachers to get a full score report on their students. well, i checked my email yesterday, and there was an email from rachel with my AP scores! she had gone to school and gotten her scores from our principal, and he'd said it was okay for her to email me my scores - hooray! even more "hooray" is the fact that four of my kiddos got a 5 on the test (the highest score) and twelve of them got a 4. last year i had two 5s and eight 4s (and the same total number of students), so i'm giddy that my kids did a bit better this year. our principal is so good with AP scores in general - his philosophy is that as long as the kids aren't all getting 1s and 2s (the lowest scores), he doesn't judge a teacher on how well her students do. that said, i judge myself, and i'm really happy that my kids improved over last year's group. one always want to improve, right?, and one way i can measure improvement is through how well my students score. and i am giving rachel this shout out for letting me know (and an AP shout out because her kids did great, too!).

Yay! :)
And your El Azteca comment reminded me: have you been to Teela Taqueria by Meehan's? They have a spinach, mushroom, and feta taco that is DELICIOUS!
Kudos for the good AP results to you and your students and to Rachel and her students.
We are looking forward to your imminent return to the Colonies.
Woohoo! Way to go :) Can't wait for you to get home (even though I don't live there anymore)... I miss you!
I did know "some" of those answers, but not many. It sounds like a great ending to the Oxford Experience-am eager to see you back in the states-thanks for all the news and info-sounds like a grand adventure
