more books

i keep reading amazing books!  i just finished the brief wondrous life of oscar wao, by junot diaz and it was SO GOOD.  clutch-your-heart-in-a-coffee-shop-at-11am good.  an upbeat book with a great narrator's voice and lots of pop culture references.  you need to know a little spanish to fully get this book, i think, and some knowledge of the lord of the rings (which i have) and old school comic books (which i don't).

also, if you haven't read the time traveler's wife, by audrey niffenegger, you need to read that, too.  especially because the movie is coming out next weekend and it will certainly be worse than the book.  and you don't want the book ruined for you, do you?

in addition to reading a lot, i saw the mousetrap today - a play that's been running in london for 57 years, and based on an agatha christie mystery.  pretty good - not amazing, but definitely entertaining.  i'm back at the hostel to check in online for my flight tomorrow (got an aisle seat...not as good as a window, but i'm not complaining) before dinner.  this dinner decision is a big one - my last meal on vacation!
