tomorrow i leave oxford!  i then spend two nights in london before flying home to atlanta.  tonight the admin staff is going out for dinner and drinks - our last time all together - which i'm really looking forward to.  we had a great lunch today at one of our favorite pubs, the bear.  (another british phrase i'd forgotten that i love: "i fancy a pub lunch."  and we had one.  hooray!)  i will really miss this group of people, and it's sad to go knowing that we won't all be together again.  it has been a fun summer.  i can't believe the program is over...and that my summer is almost over.  it's really flown by.  i will miss oxford.

tomorrow we do some last minute things in the office, i'll pack myself up, and then take the bus to london and check in to the hostel where i'll be staying for the next two days.  i'm looking forward to this part of the trip, too - i'm having dinner with liz, a friend from high school who lives in london, and i plan to see one last show before i go.  i hope the weather cooperates, because i'd love to spend an afternoon lying in a park and reading.  and then there's all the little things i still want to buy.  and the naps i hope to take.  oh, the naps.  the last three days have been so busy for us, with students moving out - i've literally been working 12-15 hour days.  i'm exhausted.  but there is no time to sleep now!  i want to spend this time with friends.

wednesday i fly out of heathrow (i heart british airways for their free movies and quasi-yummy food, so this won't be bad, either - knock on wood) and get picked up in atlanta by joey (hooray!) and we'll go immediately to a birthday dinner for mike (double hooray!).  i haven't sweated which walking around outside since i arrived in oxford.  5 weeks.  i've worn a sweater almost every day.  while i love this weather (and i can't believe i'm saying this), i'm ready for some southern summer weather.  just for a little bit.

but for now, i get to savor my last two days in the uk.
